It’s hard not to have an innate urge for travel when the weather here is so goddamn bipolar, there isn’t a beach outside your doorstop and your skin is in a constant state of detox thanks to the city’s ever increasing pollution…

Sometimes daydreams take over and I’m stuck thinking how glorious it would be to wake up amidst the mountains, or a secluded beach, all clean air, not a cloud in sight and the London commute separated by several oceans. Recently I’ve been told this more and more; that life is short, opportunities arise for a reason, and travel broadens the mind and provides the ability to grow as an individual. I never took the opportunity to travel between University and getting a full time job, and it’s bothered me recently.

I’m now in the fortunate position of having a full time career that does allow me to travel, to many unbelievable locations to explore areas I would never ordinarily be able to. Whilst beauty writing is my first love, since writing travel related posts, it’s proved a more rewarding challenge for me. Not only do I get to experience new cultures and meet new people, I get to put my own spin on a city and tell it’s story how I see it and experience it. In the last year, from Bali, Amsterdam and Dublin, to Milan and Dubai, all cities have allowed me to come away with an entirely different adventure. I like the stability of little short trips – there’s no commitment to any given city, home stays merrily ticking away and no major uprooting is necessary. Life stays drama free and the world is your oyster…

So, where to next?

And who to go with? Step forward Exodus Travel. A travel operator, they arrange adventure holidays for small groups to remote locations. Whether it’s trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro or culture cruising in Cape Town, they have a holiday for all. And I’m teaming up with them to arrange a holiday of a lifetime. I want YOU all to come with me! Whilst the logistics aren’t yet finalised, for now, I just want to know who would come and what sort of a holiday they would rather experience…
